Fire Immunity is the next worst, with 110-130% ranges common. Cold Mastery does not do anything to break this immunity. This makes it nearly unbreakable even with Infinity, at least to a point where Cold damage will do any good. Cold Immunity is the worst of the lot, with monsters often having more than 150% resistance. You still will do reduced damage, but at least you can do some damage. This won't break all immunities in Hell, but it will break most of them. This is one of the main reasons the Infinity polearm runeword is so popular for minions - it casts a level 12 Conviction aura when equipped. The three elemental immunities (Cold, Fire, Lightning) can be partially overcome with the Paladin's Conviction aura or the Necromancer's Lower Resist curse. Therefore, it's best to get this first pesky trait out of the way before discussing abilities specific to Unique bosses. A mob is said to be immune when their resistance to that type of damage equals or exceeds 100%.
